Why are some estimates cheaper than yours?

There are many different types of marquees and even more difference in their condition.

If possible go and see the marquees in the warehouse. Read brochures and information carefully and look for what might be missing on a 'cheap' quote.

Quite often the essential items are missed off and only added later, making what initially seemed a cheap quote, more expensive in the long run.

Can marquees be used all year round?

Yes they can, provided you hire heating (which we can provide), they make excellent venues for Christmas and New Year festivities.

On hot days in the summer the sides can be opened up allowing plenty of light breezes through to cool you down.

Can marquees be erected over different levels or uneven ground?

Yes they can.

A site visit will confirm just what type of marquee and flooring you will require. This could be a standard boarded floor or for more severe slopes an integral raised floor may be the answer.

Will a marquee damage my garden?

Not really, we take care to look after your flower beds and plants when we are putting them up and taking them down. And although the grass may suffer from slight yellowing it will bounce back fairly quickly.

Entrances and exits can have walkways put down to ensure they do not get worn down.

What size marquee we will need?

It does depend on whether you are having a sit down meal or a buffet and if you want a big dance floor.

Do marquees have to go onto grass?

No, modern clearspan marquees can be erected on any surface, provided they can be anchored down.

When should I cut the grass?

Don't leave it to the last minute.

Cut the grass a couple of days before the marquee is due to go up, and ideally the grass will be dry to limit any damage to the lawn.

Which day do you erect the marquee?

For weekend weddings we normally erect marquees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and aim to take them down on Monday and Tuesday.

We hand over the marquee to you on Thursday evening or Friday morning which allows you time to position tables to your liking and to start dressing the marquee adding your personal touches.

This can be a great get together giving friends and family time to catch up before the big day.
