Absolute Canvas is a family owned business run by brother and sister team Nick Seamark and Tonya Finch. The company has been operating since 2006 and the business has grown at a phenomenal rate since that time, making us one of the busiest marquee providers in the region.
We only use experienced marquee builders and all our work is fully insured, giving you peace of mind and reassurance that our work will be of the highest quality and standard.

We give a completely individual service as you require, to fit in with your requirements; from a small, basic marquee offering an intimate space to the most romantically glamorous decorated marquee you could imagine.
Nick Seamark
I started working with canvas when I was 16 years old which means I now have over 20 years experience in the marquee industry. The hard graft of learning the art of erecting, building and dismantling marquees was my responsibility for the first 8 years, followed by a brief stint in sail making. Whilst I learned more about the craft of working with canvas in that role, I felt drawn back into the marquee arena.
The huge step into running my own company in partnership with my sister was one of the biggest and ultimately best I have ever taken. What I love most about my work is that everyday is different and working with such a great team helps me feel an enormous sense of job satisfaction.
Anyone who knows me well will agree that I am absolutely passionate about my work.
Tonya Finch
My background is in customer services and event organisation and it seemed a natural progression to bring these skills and experience to work with my brother in the marquee hire business. I concentrate on developing the business side of Absolute Canvas and have invested in a range of chocolate and champagne fountains, a mobile bar service as well as my latest project - vintage crockery hire - which is really exciting.
Nick and I work really well together; we both believe in hard work and giving excellent customer service. What I love most about my job is working closely with the brides to create a perfect day; I feel a part of all our brides weddings. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing that you have helped make a bride’s day a day they’ll never forget.
Craig Penellum
I’ve been working for Absolute Canvas since it started in 2006 and only intended for it to be a stop-gap for one summer. After that first season I was hooked and found myself dreading the thought of returning to the confines of an office. I took the opportunity to learn more about the craft of making canvas; Nick made a brilliant teacher.
Nearly five years on and I am now managing the marquee team and making sure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes. What I enjoy most about my job is knowing I’ve played a key part in making a wedding really special and seeing the marquee up and ready to be decorated is very satisfying. It beats a 9 - 5 job any day.
